Learning How to Learn

Most people study the way they were taught at school: read it again, highlight it, summarise the notes. Decades of memory research show that these strategies produce very little durable learning. This course teaches the techniques that actually work — and why they feel harder than the ones that do not.

Yes. Every technique in this course has a substantial evidence base in cognitive psychology and memory science. We cite the key researchers and studies and distinguish between findings with strong replication and those that are more provisional.

The six lessons take around 80 minutes in total. The techniques are designed to be applied immediately — each lesson ends with something practical to do with whatever you’re currently learning.
